Aurora
Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Her birthplace was in Stavanger on June 15th, 1996. She is professionally referred to as Aurora. The name of her can also be stylized by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from bloggers as well as the media. The singer has released a number of high-profile cover songs, including Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that have been widely praised. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering a piano hidden in her attic and becoming fascinated with the sounds it produced. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork as being her influences. After her mom said that her songs would not just help her gain fame, however, they could also help others understand their significance to the world and appreciate the possibilities for them She decided to start performing publicly. She began playing the piano when she was six years old and started writing music at age nine. It was not until she turned 14 when she shared her story with her parents. Aurora never dreamed of becoming a star. She just loves to write songs. The music she composes is the way that she feels anything.
